On the morning of July 23, 2018, Professor Tang Yougen, Professor Peng Zhiguang and Dr. Zhang Qi from Central South University led junior students from the Department of Applied Chemistry of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering to visit the factory. Yang Yufeng, chairman of TROILY New Energy, personally led everyone to visit the workshops and explained the manufacturing process, process principles and application fields of nickel-hydrogen batteries and iron-nickel batteries.

       Yang Yufeng, Chairman of TROILY New Energy, attaches great importance to these professors and scholars who have come from afar, saying that the arrival of the students makes him very happy, and hopes that the students can use their knowledge and talents to inject new power into the new environmentally friendly batteries.

Professor Tang Yougen of Central South University also expressed optimism about the development prospects of the new iron-nickel battery.

The iron-nickel battery is a major invention of Edison more than one hundred years ago, also known as the Edison battery. Since 2008, the company has spent nearly eight years remodeling iron-nickel batteries.

Application fields of new iron-nickel batteries:

1. The field of energy storage, especially large-scale energy storage;

2. Special purpose vehicles such as electric forklifts and engineering vehicles;

3. Water transportation fields such as ships, yachts and submarines;

4. Rail transit fields such as railways;

5. Military industry;

6. Low-speed vehicles, field vehicles and public transportation.

    The comparative advantages of the new type of iron-nickel battery compared with other battery systems:

* Than lead acid: environmental protection, long life, more than 30% increase in weight to energy; abuseable, quick charge and quick release;

*Compared with lithium batteries: safe and abuseable, more environmentally friendly, rechargeable at low temperatures below 0°C, simple BMS system, low overall cost, * echelon available, renewable resources, and sustainable development;

* Compared with Ni-MH: lower cost, abuseable, more environmentally friendly, and does not rely on rare earth materials;

* Compared with other iron and nickel: less maintenance, higher specific energy, fast charge and quick release, excellent low temperature performance, patent monopoly, 4 corporate standards

Professor Tang Yougen, Central South University

     He is currently a second-level professor and doctoral supervisor of Central South University, the director of the Institute of Chemical Power and Materials, the director of the Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Chemical Power, and the director of the Metal Fuel Cell Engineering Technology Center (in preparation).

Mainly engaged in teaching, scientific research and development of advanced batteries, new energy materials and applied electrochemistry. Undertake more than 10 national key scientific and technological projects, national "863" high-tech plan projects, national natural science fund projects, PLA weapons and equipment high-tech projects and major corporate bidding and technology transfer projects, with scientific research funding of more than 20 million yuan.
